invited to a wedding, do not know bride or groom do I need to provide a wedding gift?

I have been invited to a wedding in Jamacia, I am paying for the expense of air fare, and hotel, I do not know the bride and groom (mother invited me) do I need to take a wedding gift for the happy couple?

I would not think so. It would be a nice gesture but they still won’t know who you are. Personally, I would not. Enjoy the trip.
well, a gift is a show of congrats or wishing happiness towards them.. but because other people that do know them will shower them with the gifts….. you can bring a small gift that they can keep but the big gifts are for the people that really know them. get them his and her towels or a collector’s item.
