I was thinking 7 photographers at my wedding. does this sound right? ive given a break down for the jobs of each one. is this too much? how many were at your wedding/going to your wedding. any tips? thanks!!

I am not into myself but I don’t want to miss important moments. It is an Important day and I want to be able to document everything so I can weed out the photos I don’t want to be around. My fiancee and I are paying for the wedding. Don’t be so critical please, I was hoping to get some advice.

I will be attending a Hare Krishna wedding in a few weeks, and I’d like to congratulate the bride and groom with something appropriate.

What is the appropriate thing to say? I’m guessing it would be the same for mainstream Hindu as it would for Hare Krishna, but I have no idea. Please help!

This is the brides 2nd marriage. The 1st time around (about 7 years ago) she had the big white wedding and a big shower hosted by her mother. Now they are doing it all over again and it seems a little much.

It’s the groom’s 1st marriage so I could understand his mother hosting a shower for his side of the family but it seems tacky for the bride’s side to invite the same people again to a "Monetary Shower".

Is this appropriate?

At our wedding, each of our guests is getting a 6 oz steak and chicken breast. I’m a vegan, so I will probably have pasta and tofu or something animal friendly like that. And my fiance thought he would just get a larger cut of steak and skip the chicken for himself. My parents think we are saying we’re better than everyone else by eating something different. I say, it’s OUR DAY! And besides, it’s not like, we’re feeding our guests the fried chicken and mashed potatoes buffet ya know? Any thoughts?

1. How much say do the parents of the bride/groom have in the marriage?
2. For what reasons can a parent say "no" to a marriage proposal? What if either one of them refused to let their daughter/son marry solely based on the other’s nationality/educational qualification or something like that? Islamically, is it wrong for the child to pursue the proposal if the reasons for rejection are trivial?
3. If one parent is okay with the proposed marriage, while the other isn’t, whose decision will prevail?

P.S.: No, I’m not getting married, or even looking for anyone. I’m just curious ^ ^..Thanx in advance for your answers.

If you google images for ‘wedding gown’ you will see basically the same style dress. Doesn’t a bride want to wear what looks best on her, instead of a ‘uniform’? Certainly strapless gowns are not for everyone. Are the designers lacking creativity?

Why does a bride carry a bouquet of flowers when getting married?
Does it important for a bride to carry a bouquet?
Have you ever seen a bride without a bouquet?
Will it look strange for the bride to not to carry a bouquet?

For the sake of economy, some look like this:

Both fathers are high-power attorneys.

I realize that the wealthy/powerful use family weddings as social payback but it seems really tacky to insert their employment into an engagement announcement.
Yes, they’re probably going to pay beau coup bucks but doesn’t this just seem like an advertising gimmick?
I wonder if they can write the announcement cost off?

I’m still working on Emily Post guidelines from the 50s & 5 60s and I know etiquette has changed since then but it just doesn’t seem right.
