My best friend & i are planning our wedding. its going to be black, turquoise & white colors. if you have any ideas for favors or wedding places it would be a great help. this is our first wedding & we are totally confused.
I am attending a bridal shower for my boyfriends best friend’s fiance on Saturday. I don’t know her all that well, and she is a bit younger than I am (she’s 20, I’m 25). What would be an appropriate gift for the shower?
I want to put together two packages for my best friend who is getting married this summer. I want to send her one in the next couple of months that will help her chill out while stressing over the wedding. (I live a few states away)
Some ideas I have for the planning package are:
- Advil
- Mini bottle of alcohol
- Movie ticket
- Facial mask

My best friend asked me to be her bridesmaid but I wonder who pays for the dress she wants us to wear?
Three weeks ago I sent out invitations for the bachelorette party I’m throwing for my best friend, the bride. The RSVP deadline is tomorrow and not one person has sent the response card back. It is not that difficult to do – in the invitation I included an envelope already stamped and addressed, all they had to do was drop it in the mail along with their check. I called everyone to be sure they received their invitations, and everyone had. After another week of no responses I called again to ask if money was the issue, because I know times are tough right now, but no one said it was going to be a problem. Besides, I am paying for the bride’s portion plus dinner for everyone beforehand; I am taking hundreds out of my own pocket so that her friends don’t have to spend too much money. So I see no reason for this behavior, I guess she just has some rude friends. The thing is, what do I do now? I cannot possibly plan the party without the responses of the other girls because I just can’t manage to foot the bill for everything and I need their contributions in order to pay and book. So can I really call everyone a third time, asking for their response and their money? It makes me look strange I think, and I feel like a crazy person. Or do I just cancel the party, which will disappoint the bride immensely, and just try to take her out somewhere myself? I’m just so annoyed that these people are this rude – the bride is very good friends with everyone who was invited, how could they behave this way?
My Best friend asked me to be in her wedding which is happening in about 4 months. How much should I plan on spending for this. I make less then 20,000 a year and I am finical on my own. I have to buy a dress, shoes, pay for a the shower, contribute a gift for shower and wedding, Bach party, hotel stay, hair and makeup……………
it just gets really expensive. I love my best friend, but I don’t want to tap into mysavings during this economy. This is the first month that I haven’t had to dip into my savings to pay my rent.
I’ve been engaged for 2 years, and my fiance has never shown any enthusiasm in planning for our wedding. Although that hurt me, I’ve kept quiet all this while. But I finally snapped recently because we were aiming for a wedding December 2011 yet I hadn’t been able to make him sit down and talk things over. He apologized profusely and swears that he’s going to buck up now.
My best friend said that weddings are really for the bride anyway, and I shouldn’t have felt hurt by his couldn’t care less attitude. Is that really true? I always thought it should be something we planned together. I’m so disheartened now. please advise me…
My best friend is getting married and I have the great honor of planning her bachelorette party. She lives in a small town with very few venue options. I want her party to be great, but she is very conservative…I have never planned a party like this….help please!??
In a few weeks my best friend is getting married. I am the best man. I’ve decided I will give money as a wedding gift rather than an item. I’m having trouble deciding how much. What do you think?

My fiancee is more worried about playing video games than he is about planning our wedding. He doesn’t really understand everything about weddings and what all goes into them. I’m going out of my way to make sure we have a beach wedding like we want. I know he is excited about the wedding as much as I am. Am I wrong for being mad that he doesn’t seem to be as helpful with our wedding planning as I think he should be? I can do a lot but I can’t do it all my stuff. We’re both 23 and will be 24 when we get married.
Me and my mother don’t talk anymore andshe’s not invited to the wedding. She has always been abusive in every way she could. She even told me growing up that if I dated anybody she would kill me. My best friend who is suppost to be my maid of honor hasn’t really talked to me much in the last years. The min she got a new boyfriend she completely forgot I was there. She married the guy so I see her even less. My step-mom is 2 months younger than me. So it’d be more her picking stuff she likes rather than an honest answer. It makes me even more stressed. I’ve gotten to the point sometime where I just want to tell him either plan the wedding or I’m not gonna do it. I understand it’s a girl thing to be excited. I think I need to visit a spa. LOL.
