Everything For The Bride

1. How much say do the parents of the bride/groom have in the marriage?
2. For what reasons can a parent say "no" to a marriage proposal? What if either one of them refused to let their daughter/son marry solely based on the other’s nationality/educational qualification or something like that? Islamically, is it wrong for the child to pursue the proposal if the reasons for rejection are trivial?
3. If one parent is okay with the proposed marriage, while the other isn’t, whose decision will prevail?

P.S.: No, I’m not getting married, or even looking for anyone. I’m just curious ^ ^..Thanx in advance for your answers.
Ma’Salam

I thought it was, because a "love marriage" is when two people fall in love and traditionally date.

People say arranged marriages are arranged by the parents, but there are a lot of people today that choose their bride/groom WITHOUT formally dating them. Isn’t it still arranging to marry someone without falling in love first or dating them for a few years?

What do you think?
Kessie-Even when parents arrange the partners for their kids, they still ask their kids if they like the person. If the kid doesn’t like the person the mom or dad chooses, the parent goes on to the next person.

Im trying to kind of schedule out my itinerary for the wedding. I know first the guests arrive and seat themselves for the ceremony. (assigned seating?) then after the ceremony the bride/groom and bridal party take pictures while cocktail hour starts then what?

I have to go to a wedding and was stuck as to what styles to do for the hair.
If you can list a site or two, that would be great!
Oh yeah, this is for the guests of the bride/groom, not for the actual bride/groom.
Thanks!!

I need a cake topper set for my baker that has a weight bench, barbells, or some sort of gym set-up. I would also like to have the bride/groom figurines incorporated somehow. Please help!

Mother of the bride/groom dresses?
I’m looking for a knee to tea length (preferably chiffon) mother of the bride/groom dress for my June wedding. I’m hoping to find something for them that’s under 0, or possibly a little more. Any suggestions?

1. bride/groom
2. best man (if you’re the groom) or flower girl (if you’re the bride)
3. ring bearer
4. priest – or whoever says, "You may kiss the bride!"
5. wedding crasher

Last link does not work.

I think its a must do if i was a guest and wasn’t treated with the few seconds of gratitude i think theres no point given a couple hundred to help the new couple out.
I know ppl think receiving lines are out dated but you can do them with just the bride/groom and parents not bridal party and it only took us like 30 minutes and i think its soo worth it.
