Everything For The Bride

When invited to the wedding as a couple, do we have to give a double the money worth of gift? For example I usually give about 0 gift but now i and my fiance are both invited, so do we have to spend 0 all together?

I don’t know what it is but every free moment I have I am planning and I am not getting married until October! I already have my dress and ordered a sample of my brides maids dress. Booked caterer, met with florist and selected the cake. Made centerpieces, ordered favors and invitations…..I am fully obsessed. The crazy part…so is my fiance! Are you this way too?

My fiance and I are planning our wedding and don’t know where to begin. All pointers and knowledge are welcome. We are looking at Nashville or Detroit.

At our wedding, each of our guests is getting a 6 oz steak and chicken breast. I’m a vegan, so I will probably have pasta and tofu or something animal friendly like that. And my fiance thought he would just get a larger cut of steak and skip the chicken for himself. My parents think we are saying we’re better than everyone else by eating something different. I say, it’s OUR DAY! And besides, it’s not like, we’re feeding our guests the fried chicken and mashed potatoes buffet ya know? Any thoughts?

my fiance and i have contacts that can provide music and the cake so that should not be a problem, however as i was looking at websites there’re lots of expenses we need to cover.

my wedding is until sept. 2008 so there’s time for plans and to save up money.

i dont plan a big wedding but not a small one either. i want an average reception and a church ceremony. i dont plan on having bridemaids. we plan on inviting no more than 200 ppl.

I wanted a destination wedding from the beginning I have always invisioned getting married on a white sandy beach by the clear blue water, not in Pennsylvania. However, his family had complained because they would not be able to attend. We did plan for a nice ceremony & reception however, it was a strain on our finances and I was being told by my family that I was trying to plan a Champainge wedding on a beer budget. 2 months ago,we decided that we would go get married by a JP, which was fine with me, now my fiance has now decided(with the help of his mother) that he wants to have a wedding. I was more excited about going to the JP than going out shopping for a wedding gown. I basically turned over the planning to him because I don’t care. I have the attitude of tell me when and where I need to be on that day. Am I being selfish? Is it strange that I don’t have a slight bit of interest in my own wedding planning? Has this happened to anyone else?

I was looking at some "wedding check lists" 1 of the things on there under the 1-3 months before your wedding section said: Buy your fiance a wedding gift.

What should you buy?
Did you buy your guy something?

Bridal Shower Gift For Young Bride?

Posted by admin

I am attending a bridal shower for my boyfriends best friend’s fiance on Saturday. I don’t know her all that well, and she is a bit younger than I am (she’s 20, I’m 25). What would be an appropriate gift for the shower?

I’m planning my wedding which will be next year. So far, things are going great. I’m not feeling so stressed. My fiance and I are excited to be spending the rest of our lives together. Do you have any wedding planning advice? What worked for you? What didn’t work? Anything, you can think off? Thank you so much! :)

What is REALLY bugging you while you’re planning your wedding? A nagging mother? An unhelpful fiance? A dress that you ordered in white and ended up getting seven of them in red?

This is your chance to vent! Whatever is bugging you, let me know…I’m curious to see what’s bugging people!

P.S. Mine is "But you have to invite this person, even if you don’t know/like them."
