My cousin is getting married next week. I’m spending close to 0 (which I can’t actually afford) to go to the wedding. I’m one of the only family members who is even going to make it, so I definitely want to represent. Sadly, spending another on a gift is going to break the bank for me. The couple doesn’t want gifts, only money to contribute to their honeymoon. What can I do to avoid being embarrassed?

should pay someone else to do, that make wedding planning alittle easier? I need to decide what kind of wedding and where I want to have the wedding, but I don’t know what to ask for or look for while I’m doing this? If you have it catered will you get a discount if you only have them make the food and you do all the decorating yourself or if it is a package deal, do you have to take everything included? I do have a budget set, but I don’t know where else to start? There are so many options….and I don’t know what are the easy things I can do myself to save money? I honestly get more lost the more I research? After you have a rough guest list and budget done, what are the next steps? I feel like you have to know before hand what you want and are looking for and I don’t know sooo that means I am beyond confused?? Please help, I really need it! Thank you very much!
I am moving down south to be with family when I turn 18, and I am not really looking forward to college. I have had a hard time with high school, and wanted to jump right into a career. I have always loved the idea being a wedding planner. So what are the requirements? If I find a wedding planner where I am moving and maybe shadow her (if she agrees) for a while, then start my own business once I save up money? How much would this cost roughly?
I recently went to a wedding for a co-worker. I gave a gift of money. I was surprised that none of my other co-workers brought a gift for the couple. We are all pretty close, so I asked why they hadn’t brought a gift. They said that since we threw her a shower, and gave gifts at work, a gift for the wedding was not necessary. I grew up in the north and now live in the south. I was wondering if this is typical in the south. Let me know what you think.

My neice was married last June and we just didn’t have the money at the time to buy a gift and we couldn’t atttend the wedding because of my husbands job. (quite a long distance to travel) At the time we looked at the bridal registry and there just wasn’t anything we could afford on it. We have 4 children of our own and my husband is a teacher. In the past when we have given gifts to her and her sister, they have asked…"is this all?" I know their other relatives give many expensive gifts to them. I want to give them something but I feel cheap sending a gift card for , which is really all we can afford? Would you send it or just go on with life and spend it on your own kids?
my uncle is getting married next summer and my husband and I, along withh my parents and my brother and his girlfriend are all travelling the 18hour car ride to go tho the wedding. I was thinking as a gift I would make him a homemade photo album for the wedding…I make really nice silk covered albums. is this a nice gift to give him? this is his 3rd wedding…(his future wifes 4th) so they arent registering and I know he would not accept money or a fancy gift from me and hubby (he would never take money from his neices or nephews like that) my parents are also going to give either a nice gift or some money from all of us, but is a photo album a nice gift from me and hubby?
I’m not even sure if they are having a photographer, but even if they are, there is a 2 day party after the wedding at her parents cottage so there will be plenty of pictures from that to put in there.
my fiance and i have contacts that can provide music and the cake so that should not be a problem, however as i was looking at websites there’re lots of expenses we need to cover.

i dont plan a big wedding but not a small one either. i want an average reception and a church ceremony. i dont plan on having bridemaids. we plan on inviting no more than 200 ppl.
It is important to me to give something to my very special niece that will be cherished and used. I usually give money but this is a special girl and it is important to me that she find our wedding gift useful and sentimental
